OUR STORY

Britain’s largest employee-owned blind company, making the most innovative blinds for families and businesses for 30 years.

Our team of more than 70 dedicated professionals are focused on precision, unique solutions, and excellent customer service.

Our Own
Factory

Our blinds are made in our own factory in Ashford, Kent. Purpose-built from top to bottom by our own team specifically for blind making, it has a metal-engineering space where we design our own components, custom powder coating facilities, a QC testing section and specialist tables to build extra long blinds. All this enables us to deliver quality products and bespoke solutions other companies can’t.

We began by making blinds for conservatories—the most complicated to make—and it has served us well. Over the years, as customers and architects have brought us new challenges, our R&D team has created processes and components to ensure our blinds answer every brief. It’s all part of our mission: To provide our customers with the most innovative blind solutions in the UK, no matter the challenge, at a fair price.

As an employee owned company, we value our people, and the majority of our staff have been with us for many years. From our sales consultants across the UK to craftspeople, quality checkers, installers, and head office, everyone is passionate about blinds.

A Service

We treat each client individually… and 30 years of experience has shown us that no two projects are alike! By the time a blind is installed, at least nine Specialist Blinds team members will have been involved, from our initial site visit, to creating a paper mockup, making the blinds in our factory, QC including checking for fabric light control, and finally on-site fitting with our expert installation team. We take care at every stage of the process to ensure the highest quality product. That is why we can offer a five year guarantee on everything we make: We believe in our work.
